The series navigates her explosive dispute with Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber’s former manager, which began in 2019 when Braun purchased Taylor’s master tapes from her former record label, Big Machine Records. This acquisition prompted Taylor to re-record her albums in an attempt to regain control of her music.

The Grammy winner and Scooter have already had a falling out over an incident involving Kanye West. The dispute dates back to 2016, when Scooter managed Kanye West, who released the song Famous. The song contained explicit verses about Taylor and her image was used in the music video without her consent.

Kanye and his then-wife Kim Kardashian claimed they had obtained Taylor’s consent to use her name and image, but Taylor denied this. The conflict forced Taylor to withdraw from the public eye, which took a deep emotional toll on her.

Kanye also mentioned Taylor in his new album, “Vulture 1,” which was released in February. The rapper mentioned Taylor in his 12th song, titled “Carnival.”

The track goes: “Why she say she gave me a blow job? (Ha) Then she say she didn’t give me a blow job (Ha) / She ’bout to get it in the ass (Ha), like a ventriloquist (Ha) / I mean, since Taylor Swift, (Ha) since I had that Rollie on my wrist (Ha) / I’m the new Jesus, bitch (Ha), I’m turning the water off to Cris (Ha).”

The documentary series highlights a scene in which Taylor reacts to the public feud with Kanye, Kim and Scooter, admitting that it was overwhelming.

Even Taylor’s own documentary, Miss Americana, captures the moment she realized the impact her feud with Kanye was having on her reputation. In the tear-filled clip, Taylor is heard saying, “I’m just tired of it… it just feels like it’s more than music now. And most days I’m just like, okay, but sometimes I just… sometimes it just gets loud.”

Brittany Spanos, a journalist who appears in the docuseries, elaborates on Taylor’s feelings: “She describes her own emotions in a very vivid way, allowing her fans to give the people who follow her an intimate insight into her life. She is very upset that the public hates her and is not really on her side.”

“This was one of the darkest times of her life. Her entire career was at stake and she felt like she could lose everything,” she added.

Recently, Jason Kelce, Taylor’s boyfriend and Tavis Kelce’s brother, expressed that the couple is enjoying a “wonderful” time together.

“We just want to support him and their relationship and everything they’re doing right now because it’s so wonderful right now,” he told reporters at an Eagles Autism Foundation event.
