Police arrest suspect in “domestic situation” in Lakeville, curfew lifted

LAKEVILLE, Minnesota. – Lakeville police said a suspect was in custody following a “domestic situation” Thursday morning near Brackett’s Crossing Country Club.

Officers were alerted to a domestic dispute that occurred in a moving vehicle around 9:35 a.m. The vehicle eventually stopped in front of the country club.

At 11:00 a.m., residents in the area were briefly placed under a curfew while police searched the golf course and surrounding buildings for the suspected armed suspect.

For safety reasons, workers and customers were evacuated from the building, police said.

Thanks to a tip, officers were able to locate the suspect, a 27-year-old man, in the 18000 block of Lansford Path around 12:30 p.m.

Police did not find a firearm on the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident.
