The working week begins with plenty of sunshine and dry weather. There is a chance of rain this week, but we are expecting a drier, cooler week for our first full week of summer.

Monday (June 24): There will be a break in the rain in Northern Michigan on Monday. High pressure will build briefly, bringing mostly sunny skies/calm conditions and pleasant June temperatures. Daytime highs on Monday will be between 72 and 84 degrees Fahrenheit.

TUESDAY (JUNE 25): A front will likely arrive as early as the morning or early afternoon. This front will likely bring some showers and storms along its path, starting in the EUP and moving southeast. These storms do not appear to be particularly strong or severe, but the SPC has issued a low threat for some parts of Northern Michigan three days in advance, so we will have to wait and see how the severity develops. Highs will be between 79 and 85 degrees F with mostly cloudy skies offering more sunshine later in the evening.

WEDNESDAY (JUNE 26): As the low pressure system passes us by on Tuesday, we expect partly to mostly sunny weather on Wednesday. The day looks dry, but there is a chance of one or two isolated showers at the tail end of said low pressure system. In addition, we expect notably low temperatures of between 18 and 21°C for the end of June.

EXTENDED FORECAST: Weather will remain calm for most of the week before rain and thunderstorms move in next weekend. Temperatures will be at or just below average overall this week.
