Tell us what you think of our Cleveland for Sale series

Signal Cleveland spent months poring over public records to piece together a network of companies that bought and sold rental properties in Cleveland. The paper trail stretched from Cleveland to Sweden. But we didn’t just sift through the records – we talked to people who touted Cleveland as a lucrative investment, who were looking for homes to buy and sell, who were buying properties in a city thousands of miles from their own homes, and with Clevelanders who lived in or next to homes with landlords far away.

Now you can read all the stories – and see what we learned about the homes and the investments. One thing we learned: There’s more to explore – more networks of investors, more to learn about what a city made up primarily of renters needs to do to handle the rising interest in rental properties in Cleveland.

Stay tuned for more stories. If you have unanswered questions or an experience with a landlord from another city or property manager that you’d like to share, let us know.
