HALIFAX: An Indigenous singer from Fall River will be among the featured artists at this weekend’s Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.
The tattoo will take place from today, June 28th, to July 1st at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
Dee Dee Austin of Fall River was chosen as one of the main performers of the show, which attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Austin, who graduated from Lockview High School on Thursday afternoon as a sophomore, will perform her hit song “Buried Truth” in the explosive style she demonstrated at the media preview.

Several young people from the Fall River area will also help with the tattoo.
The young people are part of a local cadet group and were assigned various roles during the weekend show.
We are told that the youngsters are very happy and excited to be able to play a role in the shows.
