Chris Pratt visits ‘Superman’ set in new BTS photo from James Gunn

Could Chris Pratt join the cast of Superman? James Gunn has a set photo with the Protector of the Galaxy Star on the set of his upcoming DC Universe film.

Filming for Superman has finally landed in the US. This gave James Gunn the opportunity to bring his friends (at least those he hasn’t already cast in the DC Universe) to the set to see what all the fuss is about. One of those friends who stopped by was actually Marvel star Chris Pratt, as a recent set photo from the director himself shows.

While some have suggested that this set photo could be James Gunn’s tease of Chris Pratt joining the cast of the DC Universe, this is unlikely. Pratt is wearing very casual clothing and it’s clear that the photo was not taken with the press in mind. And considering how large the cast of Superman As is already the case, it is unlikely that Warner Bros. Discovery will have as much money as Chris Pratt to spend on the project.

The Guardians of the Galaxy join the DC Universe

Chris Pratt is not the only one Protector of the Galaxy member to enter the DC Universe. Nathan Fillion, who appeared in two Guardian Movies as a cameo, Guy Gardner will play in SupermanAdditionally, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, and Michael Rooker have made cameo appearances in James Gunn’s previous DC projects, and some of them even play new DCU characters.

This does not mean that Chris Pratt could not join the DC Universe after SupermanHe and many other members of the Protector of the Galaxy The cast has expressed interest in strapping on a new set of spandex. While James Gunn hasn’t hired Pratt for this project, his visit could be a preview of what’s to come!

Superman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. Stay tuned for the latest news on the future of the DC Universe and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
