LCPD: Lunchbox Lemonade series continues on Friday

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The community is invited to participate in the Las Cruces Police Department (LCPD) Community Outreach Team’s second Lunchbox Lemonade, taking place Friday, June 28th.

As part of the Lunchbox Lemonade series, residents are encouraged to eat lunch with the Community Outreach Team, discuss police matters and share their public safety concerns, according to a press release from the LCPD.


Friday’s Lemonade Lunchbox will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 28 at Metro Splash Pad and Park, 7125 Metro Park St.

LCPD said participants are encouraged to bring their own bagged lunch. LCPD will provide free popsicles and cold lemonade thanks to a community partnership with Raising Cane’s restaurant.

The series will be held at various wading pools throughout Las Cruces, including:

  • June 28, Metro Verde Splash Pad, 7125 Metro Park St.
  • July 12, Unidad Park Splash Pad, 1501 E. Hadley Ave.
  • July 26, Plaza De Las Cruces Splash Pad, 100 N. Main St.
  • Aug. 9, Metro Verde Splash Pad, 7125 Metro Park St.
  • Aug. 23, Unidad Park Splash Pad, 1501 E. Hadley Ave.
