Conor McGregor was spotted drinking beer with the famous Irish actor in Dublin after his injury postponed the comeback fight

Conor McGregor was spotted getting into a fight with actor John Connors, just days after he had to cancel his highly anticipated UFC comeback.

Snapshots and clips are circulating on social media showing the MMA star enjoying a beer and laughing with the Love-Hate star in his pub, the Black Forge Inn, in Dublin.

McGregor was due to step back into the Octagon for the first time in three years later this month, but the fight was put on hold last week when he sustained an injury. The UFC bigwigs have promised to set a new date shortly.

A clip shows McGregor, decked out in a shirt, vest, thick chain and sunglasses, mingling with the crowd. He is also seen chatting with actor Connors, who stopped by to toast the debut of his latest film, “The Black Guelph.”

The film tells the story of a small-time drug dealer trying to get out of his shady business. His attempt to start a new life is complicated when his long-missing father shows up. The film is about forgiveness and finding yourself.

This insight into McGregor’s free time comes after Michael Chandler, the opponent McGregor was scheduled to face at UFC 303, posted a cryptic message online.

In his post, the fighter mused: “Your word is your promise. And if your word is worth nothing, then eventually you are worth nothing. (I will) still go to UFC 303, much to the surprise of the UFC and everyone behind the scenes.

“It’s UFC 303 Alex Pereira vs. Jiri Prochazka and just six days ago it was McGregor vs. Chandler. It was my card… whenever I signed the fight agreement and put my name on the paper that said I was going to be at UFC 303.

“I made a commitment and that commitment still stands. Because your word is your commitment and without your word you are worthless.”

“If you can’t be relied upon, if people don’t believe you can follow through on what you say you’re going to do, then the definition of integrity is doing what you say without hesitation.”

Connors had previously told IrishStar.com at the premiere of “The Black Guelph” in the USA: “It will be nice for American audiences to see a different side of Ireland, beyond fiddles and leprechauns.”

“At its core, this film is about corruption. The corruption of the state, the corruption of the Catholic Church, how they conspire. The corruption of the soul, how everything that is suppressed comes to the surface in terrible symptoms.”
