Love Island star Coye Simmons reveals scenes that weren’t broadcast and how storylines were portrayed ‘differently’ for the series

LOVE Island USA star Coye Simmons has revealed insider information about what viewers didn’t see and why things weren’t as they appeared on screen in an exclusive interview with The US Sun.

The reality star’s time on the Peacock series may have been cut short, as he was the first cast member to go home in the third episode of season six, but Coye had a lot of secrets to spill.

For example, 28-year-old Coye admitted that there was a lot more going on in the series than what was broadcast on television, even though new episodes appeared on the streaming platform almost every night.

The North Carolina native – who dated 27-year-old JaNa Craig before she left him for bombshell Connor Newsum, 28, and was kicked out of the villa – admitted that a large part of his relationship with JaNa was not shown, including their intense conversations, romantic dinners and their adorable bedtime routine.

“Me (JaNa) and her had a lot of great conversations,” Coye said of the duo’s strong bond.

“Even I made her breakfast every morning. That was not shown once. I told her bedtime stories every night, but none of those bedtime stories were shown,” the TV personality said disappointedly.

“It’s just one of those things. Honestly, they try to show it to everyone, but honestly, it wasn’t shown to me that way,” Coye added.

Coye and JaNa were a popular couple among fans from the start, after Coye chose the black-haired beauty rather than Serena Page (24) and Hannah Smith (26), who also had their eye on the 2.03 meter tall star.

JaNa even admitted on camera that many of her co-stars thought they behaved like a married couple, which made her doubt their relationship.

One of her concerns was that Coye wasn’t opening up to her as much as she had hoped. While the TV star admitted that he was portrayed as the “quiet one” on the show, that wasn’t actually the case.

“I was in there laughing, having fun with everyone, making food for everyone. None of that was shown. When I watched it, my friends and people who know me just said, ‘You’re not calm, you’re not this,'” Coye confessed to the US Sun.

“It seemed like I was just afraid to talk or something, but I had a lot of great conversations and everything. A lot of people think I’m just this quiet person.

Coye continued, “I actually had fun with everyone there, making people laugh and always cracking jokes, but none of that was filmed.

“On camera, it looks like I’m just boring and stiff. It is what it is. At the end of the day, I know who I am,” he concluded.

After Coye’s departure, there were many unexpected twists and turns in the villa, numerous surprises caused unrest and further unexpected departures occurred.
