Lauralee Bell: Cricket and Danny are the “soap version” of Taylor and Travis

Shadow of Passion star Lauralee Bell feels a connection to Travis Kelce And Taylor Swifts love story thanks to their current soap opera plot.

“I always say Travis and Taylor are the ones we’re playing against right now,” Bell, 55, said exclusively We weekly on Tuesday, June 25, in reference to her TV character Christine “Cricket” and her boyfriend, the musician Danny (Michael Damian). “We are the soap opera version of Travis and Taylor!”

Bell’s remark was in response to Kelce surprising Swift’s fans during her show in London on Sunday, June 23, when he took the stage for his Epoch Tour debut. The NFL tight end made headlines after he joined Swift’s dance troupe for the Department for Tortured Poets Part of the performance.

Kelce was one of three dancers who helped Swift get dressed for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” He wore a suit and top hat as he carried his girlfriend onstage and later helped her change clothes. The athlete also did a little dance for the screaming crowd.

“The first round at Wembley was so surreal. Looking out at 90,000 fans every night and hearing that VOLUME,” Swift wrote on Instagram on Monday, June 24, reflecting on the London shows. “Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard. The acoustic parts were GOING ON.”

The Grammy winner, who has been dating Kelce since summer 2023, then gushed about her boyfriend’s performance. “I’m still laughing my head off/swooning in love over @killatrav’s Eras tour debut,” she wrote with a heart emoji. “I’ll never forget these shows.”

Bell, on the other hand, might get her chance to make a surprise appearance on stage when Cricket joins Danny during her two-part cameo. Guest room.

Fans met Cricket and Danny on Shadow of Passion in 1984, when she was an aspiring model and he was starting his rock career. The couple married in 1990 but later separated and have tried dating on and off since then.

“Cricket is a free spirit, she is normally very disciplined. She knows that if she didn’t take this opportunity now, she would never do it,” Bell told Us about her character’s decision to trust Danny. “This is her time.”

The actress noted that after Cricket’s split from Danny, she “didn’t have many loves, just two, so going back to her first love made so much sense.”
