A criminal investigation into the death of Matthew Perry may involve information from Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife Brooke Mueller.

Mueller, 46, was reportedly questioned “multiple times” about Perry’s death in October, sources told InTouch Weekly.

Authorities reportedly tried to contact Mueller at the rehab house where she resides, but when officers arrived with a search warrant last month, the actress was not home.

A source told the outlet that Mueller was “out training” at the time but was “totally cooperative” when she returned.

“She has hired lawyers and has had several meetings with police since they showed up at her addiction treatment home with a search warrant. She is keeping quiet about the situation,” the insider said.

“It’s hard to say or know exactly what role she played (in Matthew’s death), but she insists she had nothing to do with it.”

Mueller’s representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Authorities reportedly seized an iPhone and laptop from Mueller. Their relationship is still unclear, but a source said Mueller met the late “Friends” star “in rehab,” where they “formed an unexpected friendship.”

Mueller and Sheen were married for three years before divorcing in 2011. A judge recently awarded Sheen sole custody of their twin sons if Mueller fails a drug or alcohol test. The two share custody, although the twins primarily live with Sheen.

Los Angeles Police Department Officials confirmed to Fox News Digital that the department is still actively working on the criminal investigation into Perry’s death.

The actor from “Fools Rush In” died on October 28, apparently by drowning in a hot tub in his home in the Pacific Palisades district of Los Angeles. He was 54 years old.

Last month, Los Angeles Police Department Captain Scot Williams said in an email that the police department was working with the DEA and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service to determine why Perry had so much ketamine in his system when he died in October, The Associated Press reported.

When asked by Fox News Digital about the status of the investigation, the U.S. Attorney’s Office declined to comment.

According to his autopsy, traces of ketamine were found in Perry’s stomach contents. His death was attributed to the “acute effects of ketamine.”

“The exact method of ingestion in Mr. Perry’s case is unknown,” the report states. Other factors that contributed to his death were “coronary heart disease and buprenorphine effects,” the report states. According to the autopsy, “prescription drugs and loose pills” were also found in his home.

Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic with “proven medical and surgical uses,” according to the autopsy. Perry reportedly received “ketamine infusion therapy for depression and anxiety.”

His last known treatment occurred more than a week before his death, but the medical examiner concluded that “the ketamine in his system at the time of his death could not have come from this infusion therapy because the half-life of ketamine is three to four hours at most.”
