LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – A man from Swansea is accused of killing one man and injuring another after an argument with one of them several days earlier, Lexington County officials said.

According to the arrest warrants, 29-year-old Joey Len Inabinet Jr. is charged with murder, attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Lexington County investigators said a deputy responded to a 911 call about a shooting at a home on Calvary Church Road before dawn Tuesday morning.

“He found a man who had been shot but was conscious and breathing. Then a witness told him that someone else had been shot further down the street. The deputy performed CPR on the second victim until emergency medical services arrived,” said Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon.

The second victim was later pronounced dead.

Sheriff Koon said shell casings matching a gun investigators know was in Inabinet’s possession were found at the scene.

“Our investigation into this case is ongoing, but we are very pleased to have Inabinet in custody,” Sheriff Koon continued.

Inabniet was arrested late Tuesday morning and is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
