Kate Middleton’s handiwork? See Princess Charlotte’s boho braids at the Taylor Swift concert

Like many Taylor Swift fans, Princess Charlotte has embraced the spirit of the Eras Tour!

The 9-year-old princess sparkled in a rose gold John Lewis Kids’ Sequin Party Dress for the June 21 concert in London. Her trendy boho braids, a style she often wears thanks to her mother Kate Middleton, completed her festive look.

Kate, 42, has jokingly admitted that her styling attempts aren’t always perfect. During a day trip to Cumbria in 2019, she opened up about her struggles with braiding her hair and complimented a young girl on her “pretty” hairstyle.

“I tried braiding Charlotte’s hair this morning, but it didn’t really work out well,” she admitted.

Kate and Charlotte are known for coordinating their hairstyles, including their memorable appearance on Christmas Day last year when they both wore braided hairstyles for the royal family’s annual church walk. Charlotte’s signature style consisted of two braids tied with a bow, while Kate opted for a half-up look with one braid peeking out from under her fascinator.

Prince William also shared his experiences with hairdressing, joking about how difficult it was to style Charlotte’s hair alongside other fathers in 2019.

“Never try to do a ponytail!” William told a father who told him he could use YouTube videos to help him. “It’s a nightmare.”

Kate asked him, “Have you ever tried braiding your hair? Braiding is… really hard.”

William added: “I can do (Charlotte’s) ponytail, but that’s about it as I don’t have enough hair to practice with!”

Charlotte and her older brother Prince George, 10, posed with their father William and Swift backstage at the pop star’s show for a selfie that was later shared on her parents’ official social media accounts. “Thank you @taylorswift for an amazing night! #LondonTSTheErastour,” the post’s caption read.

The royal trio also took a selfie with Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

“Happy birthday M8! The London shows have started off great 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝,” the singer captioned her post, referring to Prince William’s birthday.

Six-year-old Prince Louis stayed home with his mother Kate while his older siblings enjoyed the show with their father.

The Princess of Wales has largely retreated from public life in recent months as she continues her cancer treatment. On June 15, she made a special appearance at Trooping the Colour, the annual celebration of King Charles’ birthday. It was her first public appearance with the royals since Christmas.

“I have to say, Prince William was amazing, but the highlight was Princess Charlotte. Prince George was amazing too. She was so damn sweet. I just can’t…” Jason said, and Travis agreed, saying, “She was.”

“She was a superstar,” Travis added, while Jason admitted, “I don’t know. Maybe it’s because I have three girls now.”

“She had fire in her. She asked questions,” Jason continued, calling it the most “electrifying” part of the meeting.

“I love it when parents ask their kids to be present and speak up…” Travis said, and Jason added, “Encourage them to take the lead in the conversation.”
