After the death of the TV doctor, sales of Michael Mosley’s books are rising rapidly

Sales of Michael Mosley’s books have skyrocketed since his disappearance and death; they have returned to the bestseller charts for the first time in weeks.

The television doctor, who disappeared while walking on the Greek island of Symi, was celebrated as “one of the most important radio presenters of the last decades”.

He was found to have died of natural causes on June 5 after leaving St. Nicholas Beach for a walk without a mobile phone at around 1.30pm that day in scorching heat of 40 degrees Celsius.

Sales of the title have increased by 650 percent in the last two weeks, according to The Sunday Times. After its initial publication in October 2022, it re-entered the general paperback charts at number 7.

The book conveys Mosley’s mission to demonstrate the importance of small habit changes that can change the entire course of the reader’s life.

The television star, who regularly appeared on This morningdiscovered his passion for health and well-being after the early death of his father Bill.

“No man in my family lived past 72,” he said. “His friends said how much I was like him, so he was a kind of warning from history.”

Mosley died at the age of 67.

He was the author of several books, including The Fast 800, The Fast Diet, And The 8-week blood sugar diet.

In a moving post on Instagram, his wife Claire paid tribute to her husband, writing: “Michael was an incredible man. Thank you for seeing this too. We miss him so much.”

She continued: “I am keen to continue the work that has given Michael and me so much joy and purpose.”

The radio and columnist, who originally trained as a doctor, advocated intermittent fasting using the 5:2 diet and the Fast 800 diet and presented scientific and medical documentaries on the BBC and Channel 4.
