Tom Cruise’s daughter Suri Cruise drops her famous surname at the graduation ceremony

Suri Cruise is reportedly the youngest celebrity child to drop her father’s last name.

The 18-year-old graduated from high school with her famous mother Katie Holmes by her side.

In photos obtained by Page Six, the former “Dawson’s Creek” actress celebrated the occasion with her daughter in front of the United Palace Theater in Manhattan, where the ceremony took place.

Suri wore a white summer dress under her bright red graduation gown, while Holmes wore a matching set of light yellow pleated pants and a long-sleeved collared shirt for the event.

Later, several media outlets revealed that Suri was listed as “Suri Noelle” rather than “Suri Cruise” on her school’s graduation program. Page Six included a photo of the graduation brochure, attributed to celebrity news outlet Backgrid, with the name “Suri Noelle” circled. The name is likely a tribute to her 45-year-old mother, whose middle name is Noelle.

Coinciding with her high school graduation, Suri’s father Tom Cruise was among the celebrity guests at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour on June 22 at London’s Wembley Stadium. Cruise and Holmes, who married in November 2006, divorced in June 2012 after five years of marriage. The former couple had their only child together in April 2006.
