Skoda’s voice assistant has been improved and now integrates ChatGPT.

Skoda announces that the functionality of the voice assistant Laura has been significantly expanded through the integration of the Chat Pro function from technology partner Cerence. In addition to the previously available information sources, the Chat Pro function is now directly linked to the artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT.

The new tool allows voice assistant Laura to answer questions that go beyond the scope of general knowledge. The new feature is now available in models based on the MEB GP and MQB EVO platforms and equipped with the new software version 4.0, including the updated Enyaq range, the new generation of the Superb and Kodiaq, and the updated Octavia.

Skoda stresses that user control over the voice assistant remains unchanged and the functionality of ChatGPT, which is currently available in four languages ​​(English, Spanish, Czech and German), can be deactivated via the privacy settings in the car’s infotainment system, but in Enyaq models that support this functionality, it is always activated.

It is important to note that ChatGPT does not get access to vehicle data or personal information. All requests are processed anonymously and interactions are deleted immediately to ensure the highest level of privacy.
