Ahoy Club acquires Floatspace

Australia: Charter and brokerage company Ahoy Club has announced the acquisition of yacht booking service company Floatspace.

Floatspace allows clients to select the yacht they want, the date, time and any additional requirements. The technology automatically updates the yacht’s calendar and creates charter contracts for all parties involved.

Through the takeover, Ahoy Club can digitally serve the entire charter market, from catamarans to mega yachts.

Hugh Treseder, founder and CEO of Floatspace, said: “The two companies complement each other very well. Although they came to market from opposite sides, both have achieved excellent traction and growth, so combining the two would create a force to be reckoned with.”

Ellie Malouf, CEO of Ahoy Club, said: “Customers today are highly knowledgeable and can do their own thorough research. With charters, they often know what they want and when they want it, and seek the convenience of being able to book it immediately. Customers now expect similar experiences in the yachting industry to those they get with other premium services.”

In July 2023, Ahoy Club announced that it had acquired a stake in brokerage firm Ray White Marine. The acquisition enabled Ahoy Club to focus on the sale of superyachts.

Founded in 2018, Ahoy Club is headquartered in Sydney and has offices worldwide in France, Monaco and Florida.
