Miranda Lambert gives a taste of an unreleased new song from the upcoming (unofficially announced) album

Old school Miranda, and I’m here for it.

Yesterday, Miranda Lambert posted a teaser on her TikTok account for a new, unreleased song that will likely be included on her upcoming (unofficially announced) studio album.

Most recently, she released her first single on Republic Records entitled “Wranglers”, It’s a vengeful song with a message about not taking any nonsense, and it certainly recalls 2007’s Miranda and hits like “Kerosene.” And this new song also seems to be in line with the Miranda we first encountered two decades ago.

The clip she shared features a simple set-up where she appears to be looking back on a breakup and how now that she’s gone, this guy finally realizes her worth and how good he had it:

“We were perfect, but you couldn’t put it into a frame,
Yes, now that I have made it to the other side,
I hope you count singles in your double wide,
Smoking cigarettes as if they were going out of fashion,
Turn me up on your radio,
You gave up until the last minute,
Now that I’m gone, I have your attention.”

She doesn’t miss it…I love the sound of it already:

Regarding the direction of the new album, Miranda has previously said that it lots of steel guitar and a honky-tonk feel, and she made it in Texas with longtime friend and collaborator Jon Randall, who co-produced it with her.

Miranda recently completed her Palomino album in 2022, and I can’t wait to hear all the new music coming from her soon.

Stay tuned…
