The value of a powerful jewelry theme

The value of a powerful jewelry theme

A brand can better communicate its values, tell its story and showcase its fine craftsmanship by incorporating a strong jewelry motif. Here we look at some of our favorite jewelry designs from high-end jewelry brands, like Chanel’s famous Number 5 and Perlée by Van Cleef & Arpels.

Round in a circle

The Van Cleef & Arpels Perlée jewellery motif

Initially used as a decorative effect, Perlée is now a collection in its own right at Van Cleef & Arpels. The company felt that the golden pearls that frame many of its most famous motifs also deserved a focus of their own. This year’s new creations are the most dazzling yet, with the beautiful five-row bracelets being a highlight, where the golden pearls dance with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds.

All good things come in fives

The number 5 has always been a trademark of Chanel and is now also used as a jewelry motif in the latest collection.

No other brand has made a number its own as much as Chanel has with the number 5. The number 5 is more than just Gabrielle Chanel’s favorite number or the name of the house’s best-selling perfume. It is now also the muse and inspiration for a new jewelry collection in which the contours of the number are traced with diamonds and beige gold.

Gold bands

The Boucheron Quatre jewellery motif

Featuring four patterns from Boucheron’s archives and available in three gold colors, the Quatre has become perhaps the jewelery house’s most recognizable design since its debut in 2004. New creations presented this year to mark the Quatre’s 20th anniversary include chokers, necklaces and even belts and hair accessories, adding a whole new dimension to the collection.

Kings and Titans

Pharrell Williams designs a new necklace for Tiffany & Co.

The Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams collection has been two years in the making and is set to become the brand’s new signature piece, with a striking motif that’s not for the faint of heart. Inspired by Poseidon’s trident, the collection’s jewelry features sharp, spear-like spikes in its chunky chain design. The collection also marks the first time Tiffany has dabbled in titanium, with the bold, blackened metal providing a stark contrast to yellow gold and reverse-set diamonds.

Everything is enchanted

The Lotus is one of De Beer’s most popular jewellery designs

The Enchanted Lotus collection brings the beauty and purity of the lotus flower to life with gold and natural diamonds and is one of De Beers’ most iconic motifs.

Unmistakable style

Graff creates his signature jewelry motif inspired by diamond facets

The Laurence Graff collection is Graff’s tribute to his own heritage in cutting and polishing the world’s most beautiful stones, with an inimitable design that mimics the intricate facets of a diamond. Even without diamonds, the gold rings are the perfect tribute to Graff’s heritage as a diamond supplier and are designed to be stackable.
