The Rotary Summer Concert Series returns to East Longmeadow

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (WWLP) – The highly anticipated 38th Annual Rotary Summer Concert Series has returned to East Longmeadow.

On Wednesday evening, music lovers of all ages gathered at East Longmeadow High School to listen to the sounds of local band “Fever”.

Mass Appeal co-host Kayla Heavey hosted the kickoff of the free 8-week concert series, part of the Rotary Club’s mission to give back to the Western Massachusetts community.

Rotary Club President Kevin Cook told 22News, “It’s our way of giving back to East Longmeadow. It’s a tradition and everyone looks forward to it. It’s the kickoff to summer for East Longmeadow. It’s a great way to do something for free – and come together every Wednesday night.”

The next concert will take place on July 3rd with the band “Trailer Trash” and there will be fireworks just in time for Independence Day.

WWLP-22News, an NBC affiliate station, began broadcasting in March 1953 to provide Western Massachusetts with local news, network, syndicated and local programming. Watch the 22News Digital Edition weekdays at 4 p.m. on WWLP.com.
