Loudonville Public Library programs in July include:

Summer Reading Program 2024, through July 13. Babies and seniors can enjoy a summer full of reading, programs, fun and prizes.

Summer dining service, Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., through August 9. Children ages 0-18 can enjoy a free, nutritious lunch at the library. Provided by the Ohio Department of Education and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Fire engine spray, 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 1. Get ready for a day of water fun with the Loudonville Fire Department. Experience the thrill of being sprayed with water like a giant sprinkler while enjoying popsicles. Pack a towel and a change of clothes.

fairy tale hour, Tuesdays, July 2 and 9, 11 a.m. Children ages 2 to 5 can participate in stories, songs, finger plays and crafts. Caregivers must be present; younger siblings can participate.

Chocolate from all over the world, Friday, July 5. Grades 1-5, 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.; Grades 6-12, 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Celebrate World Chocolate Day (July 7) with a tasting of unique chocolates from around the world. Learn about the origin of each chocolate and vote for your favorite. Registration is required. Space is limited.

Book flea market of the Friends of the Library, Saturday, July 6, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. The Friends will be holding a book sale in the basement of the library. Carts and tables full of books will be available for sale. Proceeds will benefit the library’s programs and materials.

Stuffed animal workshop, Monday, July 8, 6-7 p.m. Children can choose and stuff their own stuffed animal. Registration is required and space is limited.

Pinterest power, Tuesday, July 9, 6:30 p.m. or Wednesday, July 10, 10:30 a.m. Make an Ohio wood sign. Each session is limited to 12 people. A sample will be on display at the library and posted on their Facebook page.

Amazing Race, Thursday, July 11th. Grades 1-5, 10:30-11:30 a.m.; Grades 6-12, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Participate in a competition to see who can “travel around the world” the fastest. Answer quiz questions, make snacks/crafts, and complete challenges that will test your limits. Registration is required and space is limited.

Book discussion group, Friday, July 19, 11 a.m. at the Golden Center. The book is “The Invention of Wings” by Sue Monk Kidd. Come enjoy snacks and a lively discussion with other readers.
