Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is a household name, but his young son Buddy Oliver is ready to make a splash with some recipes of his own.

The 12-year-old was given the green light by the BBC to have his own show after rising to fame with his YouTube channel Cooking Buddies.

In his new program, Buddy will teach other children how to create family-friendly recipes.

The broadcasting management has now announced that the show will be broadcast on Wednesday, July 10th.

Children can watch on CBBC every week from Wednesday to Friday evening and learn new tips and tricks in the kitchen.

An insider previously told The Sun: “Buddy has taken all of his father’s experience and is in the process of putting it into practice in his own cooking show.

“He has already had great success with content on YouTube and Instagram.

“Jamie’s fans have long wanted his son to have his own show for their children to enjoy.

“The series will feature Buddy and other children in the kitchen, where he teaches the little ones recipes and gives them helpful tips to get started in cooking.”

When the show was first announced, potential viewers may have assumed that Jamie was joining to help his son and boost ratings.

However, the chef has made it clear that he wants his son to go out on his own and build his own brand rather than get carried away by him.

The source who spoke to Rod McPhee added: “Buddy is the star of the show.

“Jamie wants his son to prove himself in front of the television audience and not just live off the family name.

“So Buddy has to demonstrate his technical skills and presentation talent.

“But if his work on YouTube is any indication, it will be second nature to him.”
