Love Island’s Joey Essex expected to dump Grace Jackson for new bombshell

Love Island spoilers follow! The first look at tonight’s episode shows Joey reflecting on his relationship with Grace after a date with his new girlfriend Jessy Potts.

When Joey Essex’s ex Grace Jackson entered the villa, it didn’t look like he couldn’t turn his head, he was determined to love her, their chemistry was so intense Love Island The bosses had to cut out some of her bedroom scenes!

But now sex bomb Jessy Potts from Leicester has strutted into the villa and Joey’s head seems to be spinning.

In Love IslandIn Wednesday night’s first episode, Joey is seen chatting with fellow islander Ronnie Vint about his feelings for Grace versus the new girl.

Jessy was able to ask Joey out on a date right after the heart rate challenge, and the two seemed to get along well on the date.

Sitting on the lounger with Ronnie, Joey said, “I think the chemistry between Grace and me is such that there’s a whole different chemistry between the girl and me,” before talking about his date with Jessy.

He said, “I learned more on a deeper level on this date with this girl than in all the time I was here with Grace.”

Joey apparently feels that the sexual chemistry is not enough to meet his villa requirements, but given his past with Grace and his reaction to her conversations with Omar, this comes as a huge shock.

Joey and Grace had a holiday fling in 2023 which they very quickly resumed when they were thrown into the villa together, their relationship sent Samantha Kenny home and they essentially shut themselves off from each other, but now things have changed.

First look at Love Island shows Joey could fall from grace

As we sat with the girls, new Jessy was asked if Joey had told her he was “closeted,” to which she replied, “Um, I’m not sure he necessarily knows where he stands. That’s the impression I got.”

This comes as a huge shock as viewers have heard Joey and Grace talking about not wanting to meet other people in the villa. When Joey noticed that the now-dumped Omar had had some flirtatious conversations with Grace, he started an argument with his fellow islander, telling him “there’s no competition”.

Even when bombshell Konnor decided to be in a relationship with Grace, she rejected him, telling him that while she didn’t claim to be “closeted,” “actions speak louder than words” and that she and Joey were in a “love bubble.”

Unfortunately, Jessy seems to have come to shatter that illusion. From the beginning, she said that Joey was one of the boys she was interested in, along with Ronnie and Ayo.
