Taylor Swift once saved Gracie Abrams from a fire

Is there anything Taylor Swift can’t do? The pop superstar may be able to start a fire (metaphorically speaking), but apparently she’s also very good at putting it out. In a recent interview with BillboardIn her interview, singer Gracie Abrams recalled how Swift managed to put out a fire in her house – even though she was drunk.

As Abrams explained, the two had been hanging out at Swift’s house, playing music, eating dinner, and enjoying a few drinks when they heard a thud. Swift assumed it was just one of her cats. It turned out the sound was a candle falling over.

“She was a legend,” Abrams said, recalling Swift’s tipsy rush to put out the fire. “I don’t know how she knew what to do at that time of day or in our state. We both had a terrible cough for weeks from the fumes from the fire extinguisher.” Apparently the fire wasn’t fully extinguished until 6 a.m.

Abrams, who opened for Swift on several of her Eras Tour shows, went on to explain that it was quite an eventful night for the two musicians. Shortly before she casually put out a fire, Swift had helped Abrams write her new single “Us,” which is featured on her album. The secret of us.

“Something caught our ears very strongly and very quickly at the same time,” Abrams recalls. “So we ran to the piano and started writing this song… I always dreamed of something like this as a kid.”

That evening, Swift also shared some of her then-unreleased songs from The department for tortured poets. Abrams explained that she and Swift sang and danced to “But Daddy I Love Him” ”like theater kids” before she collapsed to the floor during “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.” Swift even captured the moment in a selfie, which Abrams later posted on Instagram.

Writing, drinking and… fighting fires. Sounds like a dream night for any Swiftie.
