Famous Hindu-Indian actress meets Jesus while drowning

Famous Hindu Indian actress Jayasudha Kapoor had a life-changing encounter with Jesus when she was involved in a jet ski accident in which she drowned. Despite her Hindu background, she pleaded with Jesus and she testifies that He came to her aid.

Indian actress tells impressive encounter with Jesus

Jayasudha Kapoor is a popular actress in South India who has acted in over 350 films over the last five decades. Today on the 700 Club, she shares her story of meeting Jesus in an accident long ago.

India is a predominantly Hindu country and Jayasudha’s family was therefore very famous. She has a remarkable family history and several family members played a major role in the Indian film industry. Hence, she also made her debut as an actress at the age of 12 and quickly rose to fame.

Jet ski accident

Later, Jayasudha married her husband. During their honeymoon, an accident changed their lives forever. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at a beach resort in Bangkok, Thailand. However, despite being on the beach, the actress never wanted to go into the water because she cannot swim. She was terrified of the sea. However, her husband insisted that she accompany him on the water only once. So, she even rode a jet ski with her husband without a life jacket, relying on his presence during the ride.

Jayasudha went on a jet ski. She didn’t want to disappoint her husband because it was their honeymoon. But things went wrong when she tried to hold on to the jet ski while it was going fast. Her husband couldn’t hear her until she lost her balance and fell into the water. At that moment she thought she was going to die. So she cried out to God. She was a Hindu, but at that moment she cried out to Jesus.

What happened next made Jayasudha believe that Jesus was real. She accepted Christ into her heart and never gave up, even when her family persecuted her.
