Michigan State secures 3-star cornerback

Michigan State has added another player to its future secondary.

Aydan West, a three-star 2025 cornerback from Quince Orchard High School in Maryland, announced his commitment to the Spartans in a live video Tuesday night. His other finalists included Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Virginia and West Virginia.

This meant that the recruitment was completed quickly, as West did not receive an offer from Michigan State until June 4.

West is the 11th player (all three-star recruits) to commit to Michigan State coach Jonathan Smith’s 2025 class and the second consecutive defensive back to sign the roster. The Spartans signed cornerback George Mullins on Saturday.

At 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds, West is the No. 91 cornerback and 1,016th overall recruit for the Class of 2025 according to the 247Sports Composite. He took an official visit to East Lansing last weekend.

In addition to West and Mullins, Michigan State has signed the following players for the 2025 class: quarterback Leo Hannan, linebackers Di’Mari Malone and Charles White, running back Jace Clarizio, tight ends Jayden Savoury and Emmett Bork, receivers Braylon Collier and Charles Taplin, and offensive lineman Drew Nichols.
