Guitarist Paul Brown and singer Sharon Rae North at the concert at the Playhouse

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Jazz guitarist Paul Brown will perform with singer Sharon Rae North at the Youngstown Playhouse on Friday, June 28 at 7 p.m.

Brown is a two-time Grammy-winning guitarist/producer with nearly 80 No. 1 contemporary jazz hits on his resume. He has worked with many major artists, including George Benson, Luther Vandross, Diana Ross, Boney James, Dave Koz and Patti Austin.

North, a native of Youngstown and now living in Virginia, is a longtime jazz singer and released her latest album, “Silhouette,” in 2020.

The concert is the latest in the “Smooth Summer Sessions” jazz concert series that North and her business partner Fritz Germain are presenting at the Playhouse this summer with their production company Touch of Class.

The remaining concerts of the Smooth Summer Series include:

  • July 12: Christian de Mesones (bassist).
  • 30 August: James Floyd (keyboards) and Alexander Zonjic (flute).

General admission tickets are $60 ($75 for VIP tickets) and can be purchased in advance HERE. Tickets are also available at the DeYor Performing Arts Center box office downtown.

VIP tickets include access to a catered post-show reception at Charlie Staples and Pit Boss, Belmont Avenue at Rayen Avenue.
