Country singer Morgan Wallen is hit in the face with underwear during concert in Minneapolis

Celebrities often have to deal with unruly fans at their concerts, and this isn’t the first time something has been thrown at Wallen. Last year, an angry fan threw a boot at the country singer as they waited for him to sign an autograph. Instead of signing it, he turned around and threw it away from where it came from.

I had some help recently enjoyed five consecutive weeks at the top of the charts, allowing the Cowgirl Singer who took Taylor Swift’s crown for most weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the 2020s.

Wallen is currently on the North American leg of his One Night at a Time World Tour, performing in stadiums around the world. He will be performing in the US until August 9th before flying to Europe for a series of further shows starting August 28th.

Many of Wallen’s concerts in North America had to be canceled and postponed last year after the singer had to treat vocal cord trauma, which the National Institute of Health says is “caused by excessive or incorrect use of the voice.”

A month later, he was able to return to the stage after his doctors gave him the green light.

On April 7, Wallen was arrested on three felony charges after allegedly throwing a chair from the bar roof of a six-story building in Nashville.

A group of police officers were lying on the ground outside the building when the chair landed about three feet away from them. They entered the building and went to the Chiefs Bar in Nashville. Staff identified Wallen as the person responsible for the chair throwing.

Later that month, the country singer addressed his concerned fans in a statement, taking blame for the incident at X.

“I did not feel comfortable coming forward publicly until I had reconciled with some people. I have been in contact with Nashville law enforcement, my family and the good people at Chief’s. I am not proud of my actions and I take responsibility,” Wallen wrote.

“I have the utmost respect for the officers who keep us safe every day. There will be no changes to my service.”

Despite his apology, Wallen’s arrest has landed him in trouble with the Nashville City Council. In a 30-3 vote, Nashville City Councilors last month rejected a request to put a billboard on Wallen’s under-construction This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen in downtown Nashville, reported People.

City Councilor Delishia Porterfield justified her decision with the singer’s controversial past.

“We want to make sure Nashville is a place of support for everyone. That’s why I don’t want to see a sign with the name of a person who throws chairs off balconies, shouts racist slurs and uses the N-word. That’s why I’m voting no,” Porterfield said.
