Prison Break stars unite for new hostage drama series

Following reports of a Prison breakout While a reboot series is being developed, the stars of the original series are reuniting for another project. Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Millerthe main stars of Prison breakoutwill again lead the cast in her next TV series.



According to Variety, the two actors were cast in the lead roles in Relapsea new series that Universal Television is working on. The shield Writer and executive producer Scott Rosenberg is writing the series’ script. This time, the two actors play the roles of special agents who must rescue hostages in dangerous locations around the world. Rosenberg is an executive producer, as is Purcell, under the actor’s banner Hopetown Entertainment.

In the five seasons of “Prison Break” there are as many characters as in a prison and then some – some good, some bad.

In Prison breakoutPurcell and Miller played brothers who hatch a master plan to escape prison when one of them is wrongfully imprisoned for a crime. This series originally ran from 2006 to 2009, but was followed by a TV movie that concluded the series, as well as a reboot in 2017. Purcell and Miller both also appeared in the Arrowverse, with the former playing Heat Wave and the latter playing Captain Cold.


While Purcell and Miller have moved on, Prison breakout wants to return. In 2023, it was reported that Hulu will produce a revival series with Mayans MC Co-creator Elgin James on board. No plot details have been announced, but the show is expected to start a “new chapter” with a different cast of characters and a different storyline. There could be some guest appearances from Prison breakout Actor, although Miller has since said he would not reprise his role from the series as he is no longer interested in playing straight characters.

A release date has not yet been set for Relapse.
