North Dakota Museum of Art announces concert series in the garden – Grand Forks Herald

GRAND FORKS – The North Dakota Museum of Art on the UND campus has announced the programming for its “Concerts in the Garden” series this summer.

The series begins on Tuesday, June 25th with the band Glitterfox and continues with four more acts on select Tuesday nights through August 27th. Doors open at 5:30pm. Formerly Fiona will open the show at 6pm; Glitterfox will take the stage at 7pm.

Portland, Oregon-based Glitterfox has released five singles in six months under their new record label, Kill Rock Stars, with two more in the works. The band has grown steadily since their single “Drive,” released in August, highlighting the group’s “indie-rock cocktail that expertly balances nostalgic anthems with Southern sparkle,” according to the museum’s event announcement.

Tickets are $15 per person. Season packages not tied to a specific event are $62.50. Tickets are available at www.ndmoa.com, at the museum on campus, or at the entrance. Tickets are non-refundable. Children under 12 are free.

Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on in the museum’s scenic sculpture garden.

Everyone is welcome to purchase and enjoy hot grilled food, evening specials, beer and wine. Outside food and beverages are not permitted. Smoking is not permitted on campus.

All concerts will take place whatever the weather, but will be cancelled if conditions do not permit an outdoor performance. Concerts will not be moved indoors.
