BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will soon hold a public hearing on its 2025-2028 Transportation Improvement Program and is seeking North Dakota’s input on the issue.

The current draft improvement plan contains the list of transportation needs to be funded over the next four years to make them eligible for federal funds and assistance. It includes transportation projects proposed by Bismarck, Mandan, Lincoln, Morton County, Burleigh County and the NDDOT. After considering citizen comments during this meeting, the draft plan will be presented to the federal MPO Policy Board.

The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 15 in the Ed “Bosh” Froehlich Meeting Room of Mandan City Hall. The public is invited to attend in person or via video/audio link. All written comments must be sent to the MPO at PO Box 5503, Bismarck, ND, 58506 and addressed to Stephen Larson, MPO Transportation Specialist. Comments can also be emailed to [email protected]. Larson can be contacted at 701-355-1848 for more information about the program.
