Sabrina Carpenter celebrates her first No. 1 song by silencing a troll who criticized her

On Monday, Summer singer Sabrina Carpenter announced that she had topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her next hit, “Please Please Please.”

But not before she confronted a hater who had attacked her musical talents.

In the post, Carpenter shared a photo of the announcement as well as the person’s previous snarky remarks about the song.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone screw up a second single so hard. Oh my gosh,” the user wrote in a June 7 post.

Carpenter dismissed the naysayer in her Monday post, writing “ohhhh” with four crying emojis. “I’m a grateful, grateful, grateful girl.”

“Please Please Please” marks the first No. 1 hit in her music career.

In a separate Instagram post, the “Espresso” singer raved about this milestone.

“MY FIRST #1 on the @billboard HOT 100!!!!!!! And Espresso at #4.. I am so grateful and will remember this day for the rest of my life!” Carpenter he wrote on Monday. (“Espresso” reached No. 3 this month, according to Billboard.)

Earlier this month, Carpenter spoke about how she always knew she would have a successful music career.

“I never had a Plan B and it never even occurred to me that it might not work out,” she told Rolling Stone in an interview published on June 17. “I just always knew it wasn’t a matter of if it would happen, but when it would happen.”
