What are the best things about living in Michigan?

There are some great things about living in Michigan, and if I made the list, that story would be a novel. Instead, I’ll leave that work to Michiganders on the internet.

The great state of Michigan

Having lived in Michigan for most of my life, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel and spend time all over the state and haven’t been to all of the cool attractions the Great Lakes State has to offer, which means there’s still more to experience there.

Michigan has a good balance of weather across all four seasons, which is not the case in most states. Some states don’t even experience all four seasons.

Michigan offers many outdoor activities year-round. Hunting, fishing, boating, camping, RV touring, skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing, hiking, biking, national and state parks, and more. Let’s find out what fellow Michiganders think are the best reasons to live in this state.

What you like most about living in Michigan

Once again, Reddit’s Michigan page asked, “What do you like most about Michigan?” and here are people’s answers.

The poster with the handle StrikeTheSun pointed out the safety of being surrounded by lakes on three sides. I liked Rrrandel’s response: “We need more lakes in the south to keep the rabble out. (he meant those Buckeyes…lol)
