According to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, singer Shifty Shellshock of the band Crazy Town has died. He was 49 years old.
Shellshock, whose real name was Seth Binzer, died Monday in a Los Angeles County apartment, according to online coroner’s records.

The cause of death is unknown. Shellshock has spoken publicly about his battle with addiction.
The song “Butterfly” by Crazy Town topped the charts in 2000.
