Seth Binzer founded Crazy Town in 1995 with Bret “Epic” Mazur.
The rap-rock group started in Los Angeles but eventually played and entertained countless fans around the world.
However, it took years before they achieved real success. The gift of the game was her debut album and it was her third single “Butterfly” that made her famous.
Crazy Town shaped an era
“Butterfly” is truly a product of its time. That’s not an insult (or even a compliment), it’s simply the truth.
The song (and especially its chorus) embodied the early 2000s in a way that’s hard to put into words.
Ever seen Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton You have to give something? “Butterfly” plays during the opening sequence of the film.

Crazy Town didn’t stop there.
The rap-rock band released their second album in 2002.
Although Dark Horse Although it didn’t reach the same heights as their last music, it shows that they didn’t just rest on their laurels.

What happened to Crazy Town after that?
Not long after Dark HorseCrazy Town split up. It seems that their album not meeting expectations – after the first album sold 1.6 million copies – contributed to their split.
They later reformed and released their third album in 2015, The Brimstone Sluggers.
In 2017, however, Mazur left the band for good. Singer Seth Binzer renamed the group Crazy Town X.
