It’s time for us to compare the most famous people in New Jersey a decade ago with the person you just voted as the most famous person in the state today.

We looked through the record books to see who was named New Jersey’s biggest star ten years ago.

The Most Famous New Jersey Celebrity in 2024

We found a list of the most famous people in each state 11 years ago, and New Jersey took first place.

The year was 2013 and the source was Business Insider. The results were not surprising. There was a tie for first place.

Eleven years ago, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi shared the top spot, and we were curious to see if New Jerseyans would vote these rockers or another celebrity as the Garden State’s greatest just over a decade later.

We recently asked New Jersey residents which New Jersey celebrity will be the most famous in our state in 2024. Let’s see how much has changed.

We think one of the funniest responses we got came from John from Old Bridge, who thinks the credit goes to Jersey Mike. That’s good Jersey humor. Well played, John.

Now for the results. It looks like New Jersey is staying the same 50% of the time. You voted for Jon Bon Jovi as the most famous New Jersey star.

Interestingly, it was not Bruce Springsteen who came in second place, but Frank Sinatra, and Bruce came in third place.

Bruce Willis and Whitney Houston also received their share of the votes.
