The big difference between the current season of Love Island USA and UK revealed

The big picture

  • Love Island in the UK and the US have released new seasons, but the divisive love triangle drama in the UK contrasts with the unity of the girls in the US.
  • Love Island shows how important friendship and solidarity are alongside romance, with the US version focusing on the supportive relationships between the participants.
  • The love triangle between Harriet, Jess and Ronnie has caused unnecessary division in the UK, with viewers expressing disappointment at Ronnie’s manipulation and treatment of the girls.

As an excellent Ian Stirling would say: “Welcome back to Love Island.” It’s time to return to Fiji and the beaches of Mallorca, like new Seasons of Love Island UK and Love Island USA were released. The growing dating reality show has become a fan favorite in recent years and has spawned many spin-offs in different countries and new spin-offs such as Love Island matches and Love Island All-Stars. While the dating show has not had a huge success with its recent winners, it has shown that it can bring together great couples who stand the ultimate test of the “real world.” In addition to romantic relationships, it has also created iconic friendships that many viewers have come to love, such as Kem Centinay and Chris Hughes And Kaz Kamwi and Liberty Poole, who have also experienced their friendships in the outside world and have grown closer together through their encounters on the show.

The friendships that have been formed have been able to offer viewers a middle ground that not only involves them in the romantic aspect but also in the question of who will be friends with whom. However, this year there has been a sudden shift to Love Island UK from the girl’s side, as it has been seen that they are very much against each other because of the guy they are pursuing, and this does not leave a good taste in the viewers’ mouths. The villa is divided, with the recent argument between Jess White And Harriet Blackmore above Ronnie Vint. He made a joke out of the love triangle and embarrassing both girls by making a joke about them fighting over him and is still trying to pair up with the bombshells. The way their fight was handled is not portrayed well and their drama has overshadowed many other islanders on the show.

The love triangle between Harriet, Jess and Ronnie is ruined this season

On the other side of the pond, however, there was a different and more refreshing feeling. Love Island USA, it was how much the girls really care about each other from the start. There were a lot of twists and turns from the beginning thanks to the addition of Bombshell Liv Walker, who entered the show and immediately caused chaos by teaming up with Rob Rausch and robs him Leah Kateb. This reunion immediately causes drama because Rob is stolen from Leah, but it helps them realize that they like each other. After their reunion, there was a beautiful moment where all the girls came together for Leah because she was disappointed that her connection was taken away from her. But the girls supported her and helped her get back on her feet. From the beginning, there was an obvious unity between the girls, and although they knew they could step on each other’s toes, they remained in communication. Even on XViewers have spoken of the unity between the girls. This is a big difference to the girls in Britain who are constantly attacking each other.

It is common for shows like Love Island always having triangular relationships. Everyone is put in a villa to “get started” and get to know each other, and it’s inevitable that you’ll step on each other’s toes. What was so special about this season of Love Island UK this is how everyone involved handled the love triangle between Harriet, Jess and Ronnie. Jess and Ronnie were a couple from the beginning and it seemed like their connection was growing, but Harriet had on the one hand mentioned that she liked Ronnie and wanted to get to know him. This was justified since it was still early days and no one was officially closing themselves off to anyone. What makes things even worse now is that Ronnie has fooled both girls and is playing with their feelings. When Ronnie was with Jess, he knew that Harriet was interested in him and she even said: “Ronnie has been eye-fucking me all day,” when he told Jess he wanted to be with her. Harriet doesn’t tell Jess how she feels about him either, and decides to sneak into the hideout with him to kiss him without Jess knowing. She only finds out later, which makes the situation worse. Both girls argue back and forth about a man who doesn’t really care about them, as he’s shown to be easily influenced too.

The star of “Vanderpump Rules” takes all the lessons in stride.

The love triangle between the three has shown a clear divide between everyone in the house and has made things awkward between Jess and Harriet. In previous seasons, there have been cases where girls have argued about guys, but they have been able to get back together as friends. However, after Harriet got back together with Ronnie, it was clear to everyone that this was a different case and they would probably never be friends. In reality, they could have easily gotten together and even tried to get Ronnie kicked off the show, which many viewers have called for them to do. His treatment of both of them has rubbed people the wrong way, and even his statement that he is open to getting to know the latest bombshell, Tiffany Leightonhe made both Harriet and Jess look like idiots because their fight should never have happened as he was just playing with their feelings for his own amusement. He made a joke in front of Harriet about how he enjoyed kissing Tiffany, which was a shock as he treated her disrespectfully without even considering her feelings. The main problem with the question of who created the mega division in the villa is Ronnie, and The girls have to open their eyes and see how he is manipulating them all.

Unity in the USA

However, in the land of the bald eagles, things are very different and viewers like this version more than the original British version. In just a few days, there was already a re-pairing that rocked the villa, but not enough to destroy the relationships between all the girls. With the introduction of sex bomb Liv Walker, she decided to stir things up and steal Rob Rausch from Leah Kateb, which shocked everyone, even Rob himself. IIt seemed like an easy path for fan favorites Rob and Leah, but Liv came along and stole Rob from her, making her realize that this wasn’t going to be an easy path for her. Even though Liv had taken him away from her, she was still respectful enough to talk to Leah after they were reunited and reassure her that it had been a difficult decision and that Leah understood her situation.

The unity among the girls was clear from the start, as Leah was heartbroken after the reunion and seeing all the girls come together for her showed how they were able to put their differences aside for each other. The girls who supported Leah the most were her castmates JaNa Craig And Serena Page. They have officially called themselves “PPG” and viewers are keeping their fingers crossed that the trio will find true love, be it with a man or a loving friendship. Even after the drama surrounding Rob and Leah died down after they got back together, PPG Members still came together for each other after JaNa reunited with Connor Newsum and Serena told Cordell Beckham They fared better as friends.

After all this drama, the audience went to X (earlier Twitter) to talk about how incredible the bond between the three girls is, even though they have only been in the villa for a short time User @TwoVsEvans said, “The friendship between Serena, Jana, and Leah. I love watching it.” Their friendship is reminiscent of the growing friendships in the franchise, and that’s something the UK version should take note of. Even the men in this villa have been even more supportive of each other than in the UK, as seen by the guys comforting Kordell after Serena breaks up with him. @Realitea_TvJunk said, “The guys make Kordell feel better while supporting Serena’s decision. How can you not like this cast??” If the UK cast doesn’t get their act together, they could lose viewers, which means more viewers for the US version.
