5 hard lessons Khloe Kardashian taught us about love

As anyone who has ever been through a bad breakup will know, moving on is a lot harder than it looks – especially when the breakup was particularly bad and was the result of something as drastic as infidelity. Khloe Kardashian struggled to immediately shut herself away from her on/off boyfriend Tristan Thompson after reports of his infidelity surfaced online. She later admitted that despite the good reasons behind their split, it wasn’t easy.

During an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in 2022, she spoke openly about that difficult time in her life, admitting that she had to learn to move on despite many people believing she should be able to just shut down her feelings. “I think people, whether it’s family or friends or anyone you tell your story to, say, ‘Okay, move on then,'” Kardashian explained, but admitted it wasn’t as easy as just deciding she didn’t like the basketball star anymore. “I’m learning to reprogram myself. I know this isn’t right for me and I need to slowly heal and move on, but that doesn’t happen overnight,” she added. That’s so important to hear because we see suggestions in movies and on social media that suggest we shouldn’t be sad about a breakup and forget about it, but an important part of healing is allowing yourself to feel and process every emotion.
