Want to know some of Taylor Swift’s favorite things? It’s all on her “Eras” tour rider

Want to know some of Taylor Swift’s favorite things? It’s all on her “Eras” tour rider

You would be forgiven for relegating to the annals of your memory the fact that Mariah Carey demanded the release of 20 white kittens and 100 white doves upon arriving at London’s Westfield Stratford shopping centre in 2009.

The star’s rider, who was fulfilled in every way except for the kittens and pigeons, set the tone for the special kind of diva that the star was supposed to embody.

For the uninitiated, a rider is a list of requirements that an artist has and that the venue they are performing at must meet. But one person whose rider is significantly less demanding and diva-like than that of the “Fantasy” singer is arguably the biggest living star on the planet right now, Taylor Swift, whose alleged Eras Tour Rider is circulating in online forums.

While Justin Bieber’s version reportedly includes ten luxury limousines and a private jet on standby, Swift’s leaked version consists mostly of American sweets she is said to keep stocked in her wardrobe, including a bottle of grape juice from Welch’s, a bag of tortilla chips from Tostitos, three boxes of macaroni and cheese from Kraft, a jar of hot sauce, a bag of shredded cheddar cheese, and a stick of butter (yes, really).

She also asks for a six-pack of Diet Coke, a box of microwave popcorn, four tubs of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and a bag of Twizzlers, further proof that celebrities are actually just like us and have a similar penchant for sweets as we do.

After completing her first three sold-out dates at Wembley Stadium, Swift is now heading to mainland Europe, where she will also perform in Ireland, Germany and Poland before returning to London in August.

The news about Swift’s rider comes after it was reported that she plans to take a break from music once she finishes the Eras Tour in December 2024.
