Travis Kelce reveals the moment he fell in love with Taylor Swift: “This is my wife”

He was delighted to meet her.

Travis Kelce didn’t hold back from raving about his girlfriend Taylor Swift and revealed the exact moment he fell head over heels in love with her.

During an appearance on the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast released Tuesday, the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end was asked about his romance with the 14-time Grammy winner.

When asked what it’s like to date the biggest pop star in the world, the three-time Super Bowl champion didn’t mince his words.

“You want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” he told co-hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan. “That’s my girl. That’s my wife. I’m proud of that.”

“I’m not sitting here trying to juggle, like, ‘How can I keep this a secret?’ You just don’t want to let everyone know about your private life and be able to comment on it when you know that everything you do makes headlines.”

And although the “Cruel Summer” singer is a global phenomenon, it was her ability to stay down to earth that made Kelce fall in love with her.

“She’s very confident,” he said. “She understands these situations and I think that’s why I really fell in love with her, she’s so genuine with friends and family.”

“So much attention can drive you crazy, but she remains so calm and cool and I can definitely admire that,” he added.

After the romance between the two began last summer, Swift made headlines in September when she attended a Chiefs game.

Making her football debut, the 34-year-old “Fornight” singer was dressed all in red and was seen chatting and laughing with Kelce’s mother, Donna, in the team’s VIP suite.

Kelce revealed that Swift wanted to enjoy the experience to the fullest, although he offered to organize a private appearance for her without paparazzi.

“She just walked through the front door,” he recalls. “I didn’t talk to security to make sure she got to her (seat). She just said, ‘I just want to be with my family and friends and experience this with everyone.'”

“She’s in the thick of it. She wants to be there. She wants to support me and do things like that,” he said. “She really convinced me.”

“And I think that’s why I really fell in love with her. Just because I saw how genuine she is with friends and family,” he added.

When Kelce was asked what the most surprising thing was about his relationship with the “Wildest Dreams” hitmaker, he described the press attention the couple received.

“(Paparazzi) were the craziest thing. Definitely driving by the house, just randomly, I don’t know,” he said.

“It’s a different audience than the NFL, so it was cool to get a taste of that and see their following and everything. It was fun because a lot more kids are interested in the game and the Chiefs fans have become a lot of their fans. And their fans have become Chiefs fans, so I’ve enjoyed every aspect of it.”

“But when you’re at home, you want privacy and you don’t always get that,” he added.
