Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce engagement rumors grow after she brings him on stage in London

Rumors that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are already engaged continued to heat up after the singer brought her boyfriend on stage in London.

The 34-year-old pop star sent fans into a frenzy when her 34-year-old NFL star boyfriend joined her onstage for a sketch during her third Wembley Eras Tour show on Sunday night.

Dressed in a tuxedo and top hat, the Kansas City Chiefs player carried Taylor across the stage during her outfit change for “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

Taylor and Travis went official on Instagram on Friday after almost a year of dating and shared a snapshot of the two smiling with Prince William and his children George (10) and Charlotte (9).

Due to the rare public declarations of love, fans are convinced that the couple is already secretly engaged or is about to pop the big question.

Outspoken podcast hosts Amy, Sophie and Kate Taeuber speculated that things were getting serious between the two, pointing out that Taylor never normally takes her partners on stage with her.

“This is some soulmate bullshit,” the journalists speculated. “You don’t just bring up a guy you’re casually dating and put him on stage for the rest of the world to see.”

“I think there’s an engagement coming up, maybe on their first anniversary.”

“I don’t think Travis will ever propose to her in public or on stage, it would be a private matter,” they added, possibly hinting at a secret engagement.

They commented that Taylor’s official relationship with Travis began on Instagram, almost a year after they were first linked in August 2023, as a sign that they are taking the next step.

“Everyone knows they are officially together, but this is the first time she has posted about him and also the first time she has posted about a boyfriend in quite some time,” they added.

Taylor has so far kept her spectacular romances with her ex-boyfriends, including Joe Alwyn and Tom Hiddleston, relatively secret and has not posted on social media.

Taylor’s eager band of “Swifties” have added fuel to the engagement rumors, speculating on X – formerly known as Twitter – following Travis’ stage appearance.

Some fans commented that Travis carrying Taylor across the stage seemed “symbolic,” like a groom carrying his bride over the threshold, and their theories went through the roof.

One wrote: “I’m sorry but no one can convince me otherwise: THEY ARE ENGAGED! and that’s why no one has had them before, not like him. I’m really glad Tay found her person and @taylorswift13 please let’s come to the wedding.’

A second person tweeted, “I think #TaylorSwift and #TravisKelce are ALREADY engaged!!!!!!” and a third shared, “They are already secretly engaged if not more.”

“I don’t give a shit Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged,” added another.

A fan also pointed out that the fact that Gigi Hadid gave her best friend Taylor a ring in recent days could also indicate a recent engagement between the singer and Travis.

Supermodel Gigi, 29, bought Taylor a gorgeous custom-made and personalized ring with special details dedicated to Travis, further fueling fans’ suspicions.

The gold ring features an image of Taylor’s famous cat Benjamin Button on one side of the ring, as well as Travis’ jersey number “87” in a burning heart.

The piece of jewelry also features her favorite number 13 and an engraving of the initials of her new album “The Tortured Poets Department.”

“This ring is designed to carry her favorite things with her at all times,” Cece Jewellery, the ring’s creator, shared in an Instagram post.

One fan said of the ring: “If it doesn’t say ‘I’m married’ on here, they’re probably already engaged! What girlfriend gives you jewelry that just has her boyfriend’s number on it, because if they split up, she won’t wear it anymore. But if they get married…”

Taylor and Travis have been dating since 2023, but have generally kept their romance under the radar, only making their connection more public in recent weeks.

Travis was Taylor’s all-round supportive boyfriend during her Eras tour, flying around the world to see her perform if he was spotted in the stands.

But the couple went one step further in London over the weekend when Travis joined Taylor on stage for a hilarious sketch and dance routine during her costume change.

During his brief appearance, the tight end grinned as he carried his girlfriend across the stage and gently set her down on a red couch before changing.

The performance left Taylor’s fans in awe and they were impressed by Travis’ professional performance, where he even showed off some of his signature dance moves.

Their first stage appearance together came just days after Taylor finally made an official Instagram appearance with Travis after nearly a year of dating.

Amid her sold-out Wembley shows, the pop icon posted an epic selfie with Travis, Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte taken backstage.

“Happy birthday M8! The London shows have started off great @princeandprincessofwales,” the Cardigan singer captioned the incredible snap, referring to the future King of England’s 42nd birthday.

Taylor followed up the rare public display of affection for her boyfriend just days later, admitting she was “blown away” when he made his Eras tour debut with her.

She shared snaps of herself and Travis together on stage and raved about his performance with her on stage.

“The first round at Wembley was so surreal. Looking out at 90,000 fans every night and hearing that VOLUME… They were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard,” she wrote.

“And I’m still laughing my head off/swooning in love over @killatrav’s (Travis’) Eras tour debut. I’ll never forget those shows.”

Taylor finished her three Wembley shows in June, but will return to the legendary London venue for five more shows in August.
