Singer Anne-Marie admits she is jealous of Little Mix

In her new YouTube documentary “How To Be Anne-Marie,” the singer explains that she is jealous of her friends in the girl group Little Mix.

In the documentary, she talks to girls Jade, Perrie, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne about their struggles in the music industry. Since its release, Anne-Marie has said she is jealous that the girls “have each other” while she works alone.

She told Mirror Online: “I think the conversation I had with them was purely based on my jealousy because they have each other and I’m alone.”

“I find it hard to trust people. I also find it hard to put my trust in people who aren’t me along the way, because how are people supposed to know what my life is going to be like,” she continued.

In the documentary, Jesy explained that the girls could complain to each other if they needed to, and asked Anne-Marie who she speaks to when she needs to vent her anger.

“Actually, I’m a little jealous of you because you have each other,” she replied. “For example, when I was in Rudimental, I had them all there. There were about ten people all the time. All around you.”

If she needs to talk to someone, she usually goes to her manager, she said, adding: “I was so excited to perform as a soloist and then when I did it, I thought, this is not what I imagined it would be.”

Anne-Marie described her transition from Rudimental to solo singer as a “double-edged sword” and explained that “the difficult thing was that people just stared at you.”

Last month she was confirmed as a new judge on The Voice UK, taking over from Meghan Trainor, who is currently pregnant with her first child. As the documentary continues, Anne-Marie talks about growing up in Essex, her experiences with therapy and her vulnerability.
