KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The Port KC Board of Directors has approved a contract with Block Real Estate Services and Sunflower Development to advance two new projects at Country Club Plaza in Kansas City.

Floor plans at Madison include one, two and three bedrooms. Port KC has released $212 million in bonds for this project.

The next project is the Plaza Corporate Center. This project will renovate the 1970s building, also located at the corner of 47th and Madison, and build another building, remodeling the parking garage on the neighboring north lot.

The project would bring 321 housing units to the neighborhood and would also include one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments. Port KC has approved $150 million in bonds for this project.

Construction on The Madison and the Plaza Corporate Center is scheduled to begin in 2025.

Block Real Estate Services and Sunflower Development Group have worked on Kansas City projects such as 46 Penn Centre, 44 Washington, The Grand, Brookside Commons and The Oxbow.
