HILLS COUNTRY CLUB BEGINS RENOVATIONS AT LIVE OAK

Expanded putting green, new turf as part of comprehensive reinvestment efforts

Austin, Texas – Invited, the global leader in private club services and formerly known as ClubCorp, is pleased to announce that a series of major renovations are underway at Live Oak Golf Course at The Hills Country Club. These efforts are part of an ongoing reinvestment project at the club aimed at creating an elegant, yet inviting environment that best serves today’s members.

The Hills is one of several properties selected by Invited as part of its multi-year, multi-million dollar reinvestment strategy to expand the company’s diverse club portfolio. Work on The Hills began in 2021 with a renovation project of the club’s signature course as well as the opening of The Chophouse, a new upscale dining experience in 2023.

Live Oak is currently in the midst of a major renovation that includes laser leveling of all tees and the introduction of TifTuf Bermuda turf to re-grass the areas around the greens adjacent to the TifTuf fairways completed several years ago. In addition, the practice putting green will be expanded from 465 to 795 square meters and re-seeded with Bermuda championship grass.

“Hills Country Club has some of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in Texas, and our investment in Live Oak will only enhance that challenge,” said John Woodeshick, senior vice president and general manager of Hills Country Club. “The work we are doing now will enhance the playing experience for members and their guests, providing a unique, quintessentially Texas experience for both novice and experienced golfers.”

The Hills offers four renowned golf courses – the Signature Course, Flintrock Falls, Yaupon and Live Oak. Together, they are home to several active men’s and women’s golf associations and feature two world-class driving ranges and 72 holes of outstanding Texas championship golf, including 36 holes designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus.

In addition to The Hills, Invited also owns and operates Westlake Country Club in the Austin area. Westlake is in the midst of its own multi-year reinvestment project, which has already seen upgrades to the golf course, bar, pool deck and racquet sports area. Renovations to the sports club are underway and should be completed by early summer, while work on the main clubhouse is scheduled to begin in October.

Information about club membership at The Hills can be found on the club website.
