In his early years. Hemsworth’s family had little money and struggled to pay off their debts to the bank. The Thor Star recalled his fears at the time in his Disney+ documentary series Limitless. In the documentary, he revealed that he got into the industry to save his parents from debt. His father had told him that the family would die while paying off their debts, and that statement left him scarred for life.
The actor started working hard in the industry, taking on as many projects as possible to earn money and solve the family’s financial problems. However, taking on many projects also brought tremendous stress and anxiety for Hemsworth. Balancing his fears of not having money for his family and the stress of taking on many projects took its toll on the actor. Hemsworth said (via Yahoo):
If I’m being completely honest, I started acting to get my parents out of debt. It could have killed me. When I started acting, my parents had very little money. When I would talk to my dad about when he would be able to pay off the debt to the bank and he would say, “Never, we’ll die if we have to pay this off,” it would really annoy me from a young age. What causes me a lot of anxiety and stress is when I try to take care of too many things, too many projects.
Hemsworth’s tragic beginnings led him to become a very mature person who understands the value of money and doesn’t care about the fame that comes with being an actor. It’s interesting to see celebrities talk about their personal problems and remind you that they have their own problems just like any normal person.

Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky have three children together: 12-year-old daughter India and 10-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan. In an interview with Vanity Fair, the actor revealed that the name of the latter is based on Brad Pitt’s role in Legends of Passion.
Hemsworth said there has never been a more beautiful man on screen, coming close to Pitt in this film. When he rewatched the film with his wife when he was pregnant with the twins, he told her that one of his sons should be called Tristan because he is such a cool character. The actor said so.
