LiSA Concert Film Sets North American Release Dates with Crunchyroll

EXCLUSIVE: Crunchyroll has acquired the North American rights to Life is always smiling -LANDER-a new concert film from J-pop sensation LiSA. The film brings LiSA’s final show at the Tokyo Garden Theater of her final tour to theaters and will be released by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment as part of a special three-day event on August 17th.

She made her solo debut in spring 2011 with the mini-album Letter to ULiSA has gained both national and international recognition through a series of successful anime theme songs. Fan favorite themes come from series such as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (“homura” from Mugen Train and “Gurenge” from the anime series); My Hero Academia (“Datte Atashino Hero”), Sword art online (“Crossing Field”) and The Irregular at Magic High School (“Rising Hope”). On Spotify, LiSA was ranked as the most played Japanese songwriter abroad for 2020, and her single “Gurenge” from Demon Slayer: Kitmetsu no Yaiba was ranked as one of the most played Japanese songs overseas in 2020.

The tour shown in the concert film took LiSA through Japan on 19 dates and revolved around her sixth original album, COUNTRIESincluding the haunting ballad “Homura”, the title song of Demon HunterIn the film, LiSA is seen sharing her unique ideas and feelings, her great energy and powerful vocals with the sold-out audience, becoming one with each and every fan as their voices and souls merge, enhanced by the support of the band.
