Chris Führich no longer on FC Bayern’s target list

FC Bayern Munich have decided against a transfer of Chris Führich, who was considered one of their top targets for this summer.

It looks like Chris Führich will not be joining Bayern Munich this summer, despite being heavily linked with a move to the club in recent weeks, BILD reports, adding that Bayern bosses have decided not to pursue a transfer for the winger.

Führich was one of the shooting stars of the recently concluded Bundesliga season and helped Stuttgart to second place and qualification for the Champions League.

Since his contract contains an exit clause of around 25 million euros, several big clubs are said to be interested in the 26-year-old’s signature. However, he will not be moving to FC Bayern.

With nine goals and seven assists, Führich has established himself as the top winger in the Bundesliga this season. His performances also helped him to secure a place in the German squad for the 2024 European Championship.

Strengthening the attack remains a priority for Bayern Munich, who also have players like Michael Olise, Dani Olmo and Brajan Gruda on their target list.

However, the club’s biggest target remains Xavi Simons, who had an excellent loan spell at RB Leipzig last season. Max Eberl is said to be a big fan of the Dutch attacking midfielder, but BILD claims it would cost Bayern Munich around €100 million to sign him permanently from PSG this summer.
