Kenyans in Los Angeles and Washington DC protest outside the embassy against the finance law

United States – Generation Z is increasingly gathering support against the Finance Bill 2024, with Kenyans abroad also joining the protests.

In Washington DC and Los Angeles in the USA, young protesters gathered in front of the Kenyan embassy to show their solidarity with their colleagues in Kenya.

According to a video shared by the Nairobi Gossip Club, they sharply criticized the William Ruto government and called for the rejection of the bill, reflecting widespread outrage across the country.

“Bado mapambano bado mapambano! One Kenya, one people, one people, one vote,” they chanted while holding placards bearing slogans such as #Reject Finance Bill and #Rutomustgo.

The protesters were young social media users who promised to give a voice to Kenyans oppressed by the law.

Fortunately, the police allowed them to speak freely without intimidation or interference with their freedom of expression.
