Foo Fighters singer Dave Grohl makes a wild on-stage allusion to Taylor Swift not singing live

Dave Grohl appeared to take a vehement dig at Taylor Swift during the Foo Fighters’ performance at the London Stadium on Saturday (June 22). The band played their second show at the stadium on the same night as Taylor Swift’s second Eras Tour appearance at Wembley Stadium.

In a video posted on TikTok by @strettyend, the Foo Fighters frontman can be seen saying: “We were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know she’s on her Eras tour. I’m telling you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.”

As the band’s fans booed, he continued, “That’s why we like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour.’ I feel like we’ve had more than a few eras and more than a few damn mistakes, too.”

“Just a few. That’s because we actually play live.”

The crowd then erupted in cheers as Grohl smiled and added, “I’m just saying it like we’re a live band! You like raw and lively rock’n’roll music, right? Then you’ve come to the right place.”

The next night, as Taylor Swift performed her third sold-out show at Wembley Stadium, she seemed to respond, saying: “What you’ve just done is an unforgettable moment not only in my life, but in the life of every single one of our crew. The band that will be playing live for you tonight for three and a half hours.”

“You deserve this so much, and so does each of my castmates, and you have given this to us so generously. We will never forget it.”
