Why did you decide to take part in the Cities Climate Action Summit this year?

I attended the event last year as a delegate and was impressed by the diversity of speakers and topics. This year I hope to contribute to the success of the event by highlighting some of SatVu’s work.

What will you show/bring/demonstrate at this year’s summit?

We will be showing some images from SatVu’s high-resolution heat satellite. Our mission is to provide data that can help create a safer and more sustainable world. Earth observation data is, by its very nature, exceptionally rich and I hope that the examples of urban heat concentration that our sensor can detect will impress and engage the audience.

What insights do you hope to gain from this year’s summit?

I hope to better understand the differences between the cities – the challenges they face and the tools they currently use to provide a more livable future for their residents.

What bold steps should cities take to accelerate climate action and what successful examples have you seen?

Drive innovation by continuously seeking out and integrating new ideas and technologies, and ensure that all decisions are based on solid data analysis and evidence-based insights.
